I've checked in a couple of times on the blog of George Hotz, the teenager who famously hacked the IPhone. Clicking on his profile led me to another of his blogs. I'm no expert, but it apparently documents his efforts to turn a toaster oven into a pizza-cooking plasma TV. Maybe with an optional Death Ray. Neat to hear his extra geeky descriptions of test equipment and the like - he's a teenager, after all. There's hope.

"No deadline too realistic" was once suggested to me as a tongue-in-cheek motto. I like the non-sequitur-meta-remark quality of it. Or maybe I'm just not bright enough to figure it out. My koan.

- I like music and I like to talk. I try to make ends meet by doing carpentry, having fallen into that trade about forty years ago. I used to do a radio show - Six Degrees - on Saturday mornings. It was a great way to explore the music I love and it led to a great bunch of friends and more music than I seem to have time for.
